When to speak to a professional
- Choosing specific investments: an investment adviser registered with SEBI. SEBI is the Securities and Exchange Board of India, the regulator of India's securities markets.
- Choosing an insurance policy or amount of cover: an IRDAI-registered insurance intermediary or an appropriately authorised insurance agent. IRDAI is the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India, the regulator of India's insurance sector.
- Questions about your own tax: a Chartered Accountant.
- Debt that is hard to manage: your lender or a credit counsellor.
Check a professional's registration or authorisation before you rely on them.
